​We are surrounded by many National Trust and English Heritage Properties as well as famous gardens for you to enjoy and explore.

The ancient Cinque Ports of Rye and Winchelsea with their cobbled streets, art galleries, unusual shops and restaurants are a 10 minute drive away and offer a great opportunity for sight seeing combined with shopping, followed by a traditional cream tea or dinner. There is a host of sporting facilities nearby and we are very happy to assist you in planning your itinerary.  A comprehensive folder about local attractions is available to you in your room, we have listed some of our favourites below.

The area offers plenty of places for the discerning diner, form traditional pubs to 'gastro inns'  and superb Michelin stared restaurants. Please ask us about the best pubs and restaurants most conveniently placed for your planned daily itinerary.
